Welcome!
After more than 10 years of practicing holist and preventative medicince, I can most definitely say it has been the most rewarding part of my career. My practice style has remained the same. I spend plenty of quality time with each patient and my support staff is also trained to do the same. The joy and satisfaction of knowing I have made a difference in the lives of patients and their families is incomparable. My practice attracts patients who have not had success with conventional medicine or the cannot tolerate or will not take prescription drugs. I integrate a natural approach to conventional medicine, including natural alternatives to prescription drugs, vitamin and nutrient supplements as well as nutritional advice. Although my main focus is prevention, I specialize in chronic illness.
I see a wide range of patients, from children to the elderly, who are all seeking natural ways to improve their health. In addition to sound nutritional and preventative advice, I offer a wide range of medical services including bio-identical hormones, therapeutic vitamin drips, immune systems support and detoxification protocols. I can also offer you specialty testing in the fields of hormones, food and environmental allergies, as well as testing for nutritional deficiencies, candida, heavy metal burden, and immune surveillance. In addition I offer Autistic patients biomedical interventions as an adjunct to conventional therapies.
About me: I have been practicing medicine since 1993. I received my MD from USC Medical School and am Board Certified. In addition, I completed my Family Practice Residency, an additional three years of training after medical school, from Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California. I hold a Master's degree in Nutrition from the UCLA School of Public Health (1989). I am also clinical faculty at USC Medical School where I teach first and second year medical students. I have been a DAN! Doctor in Los Angeles since 2001 (Defeat Autism Now!).
Unlike many conventional medicine doctors, I will not lump you into a particular disease category (or organ system dysfunction) and then prescribe you a one-size-fits-all prescription drug. Instead, I will take the time to listen to you and review your entire health history. In doing so, I am able to formulate a plan that involves specific testing to search for the underlying causes of your symptoms as well as provide information to recommend a program unique to you. I am very open to working with your other health care providers. I believe that providing other complementary treatments is both supportive and the wave of the future.
